Snowflake Blanket, Red Heart Comfort Solids

Scarves:

Tentaculum, Marks and Kattens Fame Trend (will be frogged ... when it stops hiding)

Head:

Tyson Hat, Classic Elite Yarns Liberty Wool
Other:

Parlour Cat, Caron Simply Soft

Goals completed!  For once, eh?  Scarf is blocked, mitts are given, and I've also finished the knitting part of the Hooded Baby Skyrim Sweater.  I'm gonna line it with some flannel for some extra warmth and to keep little fingers away from the intarsia backside.

November Goals:  Finish the hat I started yesterday, and the second sleeve of the Noro/Patons sweater.  And the lining of the Skyrim sweater.  Oh, and start armwarmers for Christmas.

I didn't do a lot of knitting (or anything else) this month, so no goals reached.  I'm moving the armwarmers to next Christmas because stress is a killer (and who needs that, eh?).

December Goals:  Tyson Hat to completion.

Sweet.  The Newborn Vertebrae is finished!  I may still have to block it ... had a tiny moth scare (in the form of yarn breakage) but I think it's ok to bring into the apartment now.  I am halfway through clue 3 of the MKAL, so half-completed that goal.  I started some baby mittens for a friend, and I figure I'll finish them tonight during our WvW raid.

October Goals:  Finish those mitts and the Lanthir Lamath scarf (by the way, the yarn I bought almost perfectly matches!).

September Goals:  Finish Newborn Vertebrae and Clue 3 of the MKAL (yeah, I fell behind).

Success!  I finished the hood section and much more (but still ran out of yarn).  I've got about 2 feet left to knit, and I'm really hoping the yarn I bought yesterday will mostly match.

August Goals:  Finish Parlour Cat, Aeolian (I knit this one at work), and get a new needle for Easy Top-down Raglan (mine broke at the cable - that's what I get for buying cheap Wal-Mart needles).

Scarves:

Lanthir Lamath, Handspun from Ireland (re-started on a smaller needle ... here's hoping)

June Goals:

Almost finished the Old Flames Scarf (accidentally left it at work during my vacation) but I've just the bind-off row to do, so that'll be done.  Quaggan hat is finished and delivered (recipient loves it!) and I haven't given a thought to the Wispy Cardi.

June goals:  Finish the Old Flames Scarf and do something about that Wispy Cardi.  Also finish the Hooded Baby Skyrim Sweater.  I've just been laid off from work today, so I should have plenty of time to knit.

Two out of three ain't bad!  The scarf is done and I've frogged the sweater.  I also started another four projects (but one is already done!) and re-started the scarf that I ran out of yarn for.  Hoping that the smaller needle will save me some yarn.

July Goals:  Finish the hood section of the Lanthir Lamath scarf.  I've just started the hood section, so I think I can do this if I work on it and nothing else.

Dodged a Bullet That Time!

Whew, that was close!

I've successfully (after three weeks of searching) found a job.  It's really good; I start two Mondays from now.

So, one more week of 'vacation' and then back to a regular routine.  I really don't mind that it'll cut into my knitting time.  I spent most of my time on Ravelry anyway!

What Day Is It??

I'm having trouble keeping track of which day it is.  I think it's Friday today, but yesterday I was convinced that it was Wednesday.  Please, employment fairies, find me some work!

Gonna post pictures of all my WIPs.  If I can find them!

February Lady Sweater - Cropped

2aat Toe-up Socks

Toe-up Socks

Lanthir Lamath

Newborn Vertebrae

Hooded Baby Skyrim Sweater

Rosemary Cardigan

Quivira Coat

Wispy Cardi

Old Flames Scarf

Aeolian

Snowflake Blanket

Uh, yeah, that first one is new.  I need something to wear over a dress next weekend (I think it's next weekend) and nothing really looked like what I envisioned except the February Lady Sweater.  But it's too long, so I'm cropping mine and doing it in stockinette stitch.

Oh, there are two WIPs that aren't pictured (Orchid Thief Shawl and that other scarf I keep threatening to frog if I ever find it) because they're locked up in our storage unit.  Someone keeps locking the storage room door and I swear, if I ever catch them, I'm gonna ... probably just ask them nicely to stop locking it.  Lol!

Things That Suck About Being Unemployed

These are in no particular order.  They all suck evenly.

1.  You no longer have any excuses for the house being messy.
2.  Are we supposed to be job-hunting 7.5 hours a day?
3.  You have fewer reasons to say no to people who ask you to help them with stuff.
4.  You feel bad when you buy something that isn't completely necessary.
5.  You have more time for your hobbies, but feel like you're goofing off if you do them.
6.  Everyone seems to have a job suggestion for you, but it's never the right job or it pays minimum wage.

Day three and counting.  Maybe I should start my own business.  Oh, wait, that's another suggestion people make for me that won't work.

March and April Update

Lanthir Lamath, Handspun from Ireland (out of yarn)
Clapotis, Patons Classic Wool (finished in March)

Hats:

Forester Hat, Debbie Bliss Merino DK (finished in March)
Quaggan, Loops & Threads Charisma

I finished most of the hood section early in the month, and then promptly ran out of (handspun from Ireland!) yarn.  I'm going to a yarn store tomorrow morning to see if I can find a close replica.  Mary Maxim had nothing close.  Also, I made good progress on the hat!  So I don't consider this month's goal to be completely lost.

March goals:  Keep looking for a replacement yarn.  If one is found, finish the bloody scarf.  Until one is found, work on the hat (and finish it, too, maybe ...).

So, still no luck on a replacement yarn, though I did try to get to Romni Wools last Saturday (the Gardiner Expressway was closed and the traffic on the streets was just too much).  I'll try again next week.

Successfully completed two projects in March, but in April I mainly focused on the Quaggan hat (it's for a friend).  It's almost done, which bring me to ...

May goals:  Finish the Quaggan hat, the Old Flames Scarf, and decide what I'm gonna do with the Wispy Cardi (continue or frog).

Um.  Right.  I did finish the gloves and I have been working on the Lanthir Lamath scarf, but I also started another three projects, so I'd say I've made absolutely no progress.

So.  February goals.  Complete the hood section of the Lanthir Lamath scarf.  I'm almost half-way through, so this should be do-able.  Also, I haven't bought yarn since early December.

Right on two counts.  Finished nothing.

Goals for December:  Finish the hat.  Start gloves for my husband.  Finish the Daily Highs scarf (yeah, right.  That'll be a week into the new year!) and find that hidden project that needs to be frogged.
