March and April Update

I finished most of the hood section early in the month, and then promptly ran out of (handspun from Ireland!) yarn.  I'm going to a yarn store tomorrow morning to see if I can find a close replica.  Mary Maxim had nothing close.  Also, I made good progress on the hat!  So I don't consider this month's goal to be completely lost.

March goals:  Keep looking for a replacement yarn.  If one is found, finish the bloody scarf.  Until one is found, work on the hat (and finish it, too, maybe ...).

So, still no luck on a replacement yarn, though I did try to get to Romni Wools last Saturday (the Gardiner Expressway was closed and the traffic on the streets was just too much).  I'll try again next week.

Successfully completed two projects in March, but in April I mainly focused on the Quaggan hat (it's for a friend).  It's almost done, which bring me to ...

May goals:  Finish the Quaggan hat, the Old Flames Scarf, and decide what I'm gonna do with the Wispy Cardi (continue or frog).

February Update

Um.  Right.  I did finish the gloves and I have been working on the Lanthir Lamath scarf, but I also started another three projects, so I'd say I've made absolutely no progress.

So.  February goals.  Complete the hood section of the Lanthir Lamath scarf.  I'm almost half-way through, so this should be do-able.  Also, I haven't bought yarn since early December.

Wow.  Um, yeah.  So I haven't finished anything since the last update.  That's not great, I guess.  On the other hand, I haven't bought yarn since mid-March, so there's a win, right?

Goals for November:  Frog what is listed to be frogged.  I think I know where that scarf is.  Finish the handspun scarf, and maybe the dog sweater.  Chances are that neither will get done, and I'll finish the slippers instead.

Well, Aeolian is done, as are the Wollmeise socks.  Those were finished early August.  Where did August go, anyway?  Can't believe it's half done already.

End of August goals:  new socks I intend to cast on this weekend for my husband.

Or not.  I only managed to finish the socks.  I have been working on the shawl, though.  Blame it on Guild Wars 2.
